Hydraulic Crane Specialists roots reach all the way back to the 1940's. In 1945 Robert E. Box (Hoot) opened the doors on R. E. Box Construction, a steel erection company. R. E. Box Construction owned and operated their own cranes and equipment. In time, Hoot brought his son Robert E. Box Jr. to work for him as a crane operator and welder. In the 60's Robert Jr. left his father's company to strike out on his own, and in 1974 he started H.C.S. Fast Forward to today and Robert Jr's son Ryan and grandson Sam now run day to day operations of H.C.S. as well as being 3rd and 4th generation crane operators.
